This hand carved hearty pair of wooden crochet hooks are made from wood i found in Whitby on the beach (the 10mm) and on Mousehold heath in Norwich (the 15mm). I love that the peices of wood that i made them from come from different corners of the country and one lived at sea the other in the sticks! when you place two hooks facing each other in a set, they make the shape of a heart, and i thought it fitting that valentines day is next week! They are naturally curvy so feels good to the grip. I have heated treated these in a low heat oven for a few hours and polished them with wax.
I wove the Saori cloth with some Art yarn I spun mixed with some commercial yarns and slightly felted it in the wash. Using dupion silk for the loops that hold the hook and the flaps that fold in, to hold your hooks within the pouch.
