Item details

This Polaroid SX-70 Model 2 instant film camera has been fully tested and works. Circa 1970s.

The camera is a Single Lens Reflex instant film camera. This means that what you see through the viewfinder is from the lens itself.

The camera is beautifully designed and conveniently folds into itself (as shown in the photos).

The camera takes Polaroids Originals SX-70 color or black and white film. (This film requires bright sunlight or flash lighting conditions because its ASA is 140). This also means you need to adjust the brighten/darken knob accordingly, please read Polaroid Originals instructions online for more information.

This type of film is readily available online on the Polaroid Originals website, at Urban Outfitters, at Barnes and Nobles, at Best Buy, and at many camera stores.

The camera has a flash port on the top of the camera but does not come with a built-in flash.

The camera has a brighten/darken knob to over or underexpose your photographs.

The battery is inside each and every film pack, so you never have to buy batteries.

This is such an easy to use this instant film camera, just focus the camera using the front dial, point, press, and hold the front shutter button down until it ejects a photograph.

The camera keeps track of the picture number on the back.

This camera is in excellent functioning shape (I have personally taken many photos with the camera which you can see on our Instagram page).

See the photos of the exterior wear. We replaced the original leather recently, but there is a small little bubble inside the leather on the top, which won't effect the camera's functionality.

See the photos for a more detailed view.

What you see is what you get.

FAQs

It depends on the type of photography you are interested in. If you are a novice photographer who simply wants to take beautiful vintage photos with the press of a button, you may want to choose Point-and-shoot cameras or instant (Polaroid) cameras. If you are a beginner to an advanced level photographer who really wants to take professional vintage photographs, you would want to purchase a 35 mm SLR or a Rangefinder camera. If you want to take truly antique looking photos, try a Brownie or a Folding camera for that unique historic feel. If you are still not sure which camera you should purchase, please feel free to contact us. We are more than happy to guide you through this journey.

At times, a camera's internal light meter might not be properly functioning due to its age, but this will not affect the camera's ability to take fantastic photographs. Please read product descriptions carefully for more details.

We strive to provide our customers with nothing but the best and cleanest possible camera. Whenever we add a new camera to our collection, we spend hours cleaning up its lens, body, and every single crevice. It needs to be noted that since all of our cameras are vintage or antique cameras, they will have imperfections, such as dings or scratches. However, it is also these imperfections that give these cameras their unique characters and bring history alive.

We often post new camera tutorials on our YouTube channel, which will teach you how to use your camera. Please subscribe. If your camera's tutorial is not on our YouTube channel, please feel free to contact us for additional assistance.

It depends. For Polaroid cameras, you do not need to purchase separate batteries because the batteries are inside the film pack. For Brownies or Folding Cameras, batteries are not needed. For most Point-and-shoot cameras, you will need AA batteries. For SLR and Rangefinder cameras, you will usually need one to two Energizer 357 batteries or a Duracell 625a battery. Many SLR cameras only require the battery to operate the camera's internal light meter, but do not require the battery for manual functionality. Few cameras require a battery for its electronic shutter to operate properly. However, each camera is unique and different. Please see the description of the camera for more information regarding required battery type. You may also
