Bobbins loaded with my hand spun and hand dyed 'Gummy Worms' artyarn. This is a core-spun yarn, and it's a woolen core. I have loaded it onto lovely vintage cotton weaving mill bobbins from Lancashire. I've waxed and buffed the ends of each bobbin.
The yarn is shown in the pics on the skein and spread out as well as a knitted hat so you can see what it looks like, although only the shown wrapped onto the bobbin is part of this listing.
At about 5 wraps per inch (depending where you wrap it) this is a bulky yarn. I have knitted it on 7mm needles for a firm finish, but it's probably happier on 9mm needles. There might be enough on this bobbin to knit a head band, depending on your pattern. Alternatively it can be used in conjunction with other fibres in a knitted, crocheted, or woven project. For more on this yarn, see the hat-pattern on my blog.
Price per bobbin. 2 sizes available at listing.
