A really nice compact sewing box. Possibly antique. The actual box, including the hinges is of very sound construction. Dark blue faux leather exterior.Paler blue satin lined interior.Inside lid there are places to hold tools including two possibly original tools - a button hook and an awl with blue (celluloid?) handles. The brass lock, which has the word British engraved on it, is in tact and the key is included although the locking mechanism is not in perfect working order. The key has to be jiggled round a bit!The faux leather covering is coming away slightly in a couple of places. There are rust marks and some staining to the sateen lining. The metal part of the tools is rusty in places.Because of the above, it might make a good refurbishment project.
