When I purchased these, they were going to be used to make christmas tree ornaments. However, time ran out as it does for procrastinators like I am.
I feel guilty keeping them because I am not an artist, but a crafter. I know that these could be magnificent in the right hands of an artist who could paint all kinds of wondrous things on them. They could even be used to layer a pin or brooch. Some people will love the smooth side and will paint or stain with Inca on it. Others will relish the textured back side as perhaps, other items might adhere better to the back side, even with E6000. Or, the textured side might lend itself better to the subject matter. They would make great collages or used for other layering techniques.
In any case, they are like a blank slate to someone out there with a sense of imagination and a lot of skill. They could be sprayed green and then embellished with small buttons or other paraphernalia. Or painted/stained with ornaments or garlands painted right on them, adding details of the branches that I don't have the skills to do.
Please examine the photos as they are part of the description.
