This is a commercially spun wool single with very little 'spring' in the yarn, so ideally a tapestry weaving yarn although it will have many other uses.
Sample cards available containing a short length of each colour that I have in one of my pictures (Madder root, Onion skin, Logwood and cutch, Logwood 1 and logwood 2) These yarns are all available in other listings in my shop. The sample card contains a bit of each one so you can see the different colours, weight of yarn and 'handle' to the yarn. Sample cards are £2, post free. The way this listing is, I will just refund post on sample card orders. 50g balls yarn are £4.50 plus post.
This is a very firm yarn so I would not recommend this for knitwear to be worn next to the skin. It would make outer garments, woven cushion covers, blankets, Navaho rugs, and possibly even macrame.
Dyed with madder root, which is the root of a plant I grow here in my Northern Ireland garden. A lovely soft salmon red colour.
I always refund overpayments on postage upon dispatch. I don't aim to make profit on post.
Yardage is approximate, taken as an average from a number of skeins. I'm getting about 190 yards per 50g ball.
