Scrumptiously soft Shetland Locks from Papa Stour Island, one of the Shetland islands.
I dyed these beautiful, dark woods shades that will be perfect for any needle felted nature scene, woodsy gnome beards as well as spun up into a warm handspun yarn. Locks are clean and free of vm although some fine sand might sift out when locks are separated. Lock structure is crimpy toward the tips and floofy at the butt ends. Some locks are more floofy than others. See picture with ruler for examples of structure. Staple length varies from 5-7 inches.
As you can see, your 2 oz will not come separated and looks like just a mass of stray fibers. Carefully separate, pulling from the tips to the butt ends and you will have individual locks (like the bundle shown in pictures) or just fluff and use for a forest floor or 2-D wool painting.
I ship first class. If you want anything different let me know and I will be happy to try and comply. You will be responsible for any costs above regular first class shipping. I will refund any shipping overages that exceed $5.00 of the exact postage.
You can cancel an order as long as it hasn't shipped so do it quickly if you must.
