Item details

As part of my eco textiles range, you can now buy these fantastic pin cushions, made from all of my offcuts and unwanted surplus fabric!

Each cushion is made from a different pattern paired with a plain fabric for the underside. The fabrics vary widely in look and feel as they are all manner of different leftovers from hundreds of different projects!

The cushions all measure approximately 8 x 8cm (3 x 3in). Each is stuffed with a combination of recycled wadding, thread ends and strands of scrap textile fibre, keeping the waste textiles from my various projects out of the landfill, and instead made into something useful!

There are plenty of different combinations available, please scroll through the photos to see them all!

- Brown with White Tree Print / Purple back
- Yellow and Navy leafy / Navy back

A perfect addition to your personal haberdashery, or a great little gift for an ecological stitcher!I have plenty more different designs available! Please check: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/StitchCity?ref=seller-platform-mcnav§ion_id=21269064 for the full selection!

FAQs
Q: Can you make me a custom piece?

A: I'm hoping to restart my custom ordering process later in the year, so if you have any questions, or want something made with a (very) long lead time - such as Christmas, please let me know! You can convo me on Etsy or email me directly at: contact@stitchcity.co.uk

You can find out more information on my webite here:
http://www.stitchcity.co.uk/?page_id=1592

Please be aware that any custom work undertaken requires payment upfront and will be at a higher cost to similar ready made products. Price will be determined depending on size of the work and estimated time taken to finish. Please be aware that I currently work full time in addition to running Stitch City, and so a long lead time is essential.

Q: What steps have you taken to make your shop more environmentally friendly?

A: I try really hard to operate under a zero-waste policy, which is a challenge! Many of my new ideas for products have sprouted from this need to reduce my waste. All fabric offcuts go into cushion making. Any supplies that can't be recycled will end up in my destash section so please check out my shop for that. I am always on the look out for new suppliers with eco friendly policies eg. recycled papers, organic and fair trade fabrics and biodegradable packaging. And I am always open to suggestions on how to improve this stuff and where to go for materials, so please get in touch.

Q: Where do you sell in person? Are there any fairs where I can see the products first hand?

A: I normally participate in several Christmas markets each season, in November and early December, and almost exclusively in the South Wales area. Please follow Stitch City on your preferred social media to find out where I'll be and when!
