Item details

50g Leicester Long Wool fleece/locks. English Prize winning fleece. Purples, deep pinks, blues, these are rich colours

You will receive the fleece/ locks as shown in the pics. Some are highlighted some not.
This is a single piece, ideal for felting as it is

Weight, 50g

The locks are soft, curly and have a beautiful lustre. Some measuring 20 cm. Carefully dyed with safe acid dyes in vibrant colours of deepest violet, purple

Ideal for spinning or a stunning felted piece. There are lot's of curls, some more open. I have felted one similar to this and made a fab. cushion.

This is a hand dyed piece from a wonderful fleece, very soft. Not individual locks, though you could separate them. I have shown both sides of the piece

Or could be used for dolls hair, handspinning, photo props or fibre projects.

This is beautiful Leicester Long wool. Sourced from a specialist breeder in Leicestershire, England. The county where Robert Bakewell first bred the Leicester Long wool sheep. The sheep at this small farm are regular prize winners both locally and nationally. I only buy Leicester Long wool here and use it for all my own fiber projects, art yarn, etc. I choose the fleece, see the ewe, scour, hand pick to remove as much vm as is possible. Sorry if I missed any! and air dry before dyeing with safe acid dyes. any residue of dye will be removed after gentle washing, this is normal.

Leicester Long wool is known for it's staple length and curls.

After dyeing I do rinse carefully but they may still some residue colour, particular turquoise and some purples. Simply cool wash, don't agitate unless felting

I take photos with care but please remember they may appear different on your screen.

We are a cat friendly non smoking home. Neither Ella or Elsie, our cats are allowed near fibre or yarns.
