This DK/Worsted weight yarn base is from Rauwerk (see below) and has been dyed by me using natural dye extracts, together with an alum mordant.
At the moment, each skein is a one-of-a-kind colour way, but I will be endeavouring to release repeatable colour ways during the next few months (with slightly more exciting names!).
Main dye: Brazilwood/Madder/Quebracho [base yarn: white]
--- a beautiful tonal colour, with ranging from flashes of deep pink through to a dusky plum ---
(Please note that although the two skeins listed have been dyed together, there are subtle differences in the uptake of the dye and this should be borne in mind if using them together.)
I have taken great care to thoroughly soak and rinse the yarn before winding it, but - as with many dyes - there is still the possibility of small amounts of residue dye remaining in the fibres. With this in mind, you should wash your yarn/garment separately, using a gentle wool-wash for the first few times.
