Hollywood Pattern 1127 Bonita Granville of RKO-Radio ca. 1943*
Size 16 Bust 34 Hip 37**
This unprinted pattern is for a one-piece "princesse" dress in three-quarter length or short sleeves with optional ruffled collar and sleeves.
It features actress, Bonita Granville, who starred in the film "Hitler's Children" in the year that this pattern was purchased. Her obituary from the New York Times is here: http://www.nytimes.com/1988/10/12/obituaries/bonita-g-wrather-65-an-actress-and-executive.html
This pattern was purchased as part of a large lot at auction from the estate of a woman in Louisville, Kentucky. All of the patterns in her collection appear to be factory folded and unused. I did not open the pattern to count it because I didn't want to mess up the factory fold. I am confident that it is complete because of the consistency in her collection. She stored the unused patterns together by purchase date, even writing down on notepaper the exact date of purchase. This pattern's purchase date is recorded as Thursday, June 3, 1943. I do not know why she purchased so many patterns and stored them so meticulously, never to be used.
Envelope and pattern are in excellent condition and the instructions are included.
I have tried to capture the envelope condition in the photos, but I can always take more if requested.
Please convo me if you have any questions about the item or its condition.
Pattern will be shipped in a protective sleeve with a backing board.
