Saffira is a string yarn and is spun and dyed in Italy. It consists of 75% ultra merino wool and 25% mulberry silk. To explain: string yarn is a product made of uncombed wool and wool mixtures. The term string yarn comes from scratching (= stroking), with which the fibres are prepared for spinning (source: Wikipedia).
The fibre fineness of the merino wool used is 16.5 micron, which means that it falls into the finest category of wool "ultra". Even if the difference between "ultra" and "Optidisc" is only 3 microns, you can immediately feel it on your skin.
Due to the optimal running length (400 m/100g) and wonderful composition of Argentine mulesinfreier merino wool and mulberry silk, it is possible to wear all the top parts and noble accessories throughout the year.
The Ultrafine merino wool gives the knitting piece a high elasticity and saves the body heat. The Seideanteil provides a discreet shine, a fresh feeling and a high durability. The Compact noble colour range of "Saffira" was inspired by the sea. All colors can be combined very nicely.
