Item details

This is our handmade leather journal, leather Midori traveler's notebook with spine for your scribbles, journaling, planning, and other creative activities e.g. stamping and decorative stuff you have in mind.

I used different colors of leather pieces sewn together with a waxed thread by hand. Yes, it is hand sewn, certified handmade.

It has 2 inches spine to give the leather traveler's notebook more stability. Because it is intended for lots of inserts, it can hold up to 6 Midori notebook inserts. Further, I added two bookmarks sewn in its spine. It also has pockets and pen holder sewn. To lock, I added a leather ribbon bow trinket in the elastic lock adding cuteness and sophistication.

It is best hand carry leather journal you could carry everywhere to write something. It weighs 355 grams with inserts. Once sold, you will receive the following:

- 1 hand sewn leather traveler's notebook
- 1 hand sewn drawstring canvas bag
- Accessories included

We have already specified the sizes and their respective numerical equivalent in each listing. Hence, we're not responsible if the item didn't match your expectation whether they're too big or too small for your notebooks. To avoid this, contact us and tell us the size of your notebooks, so we can make covers and refill notebooks apt for your needs.

Follow the care instructions for the fabric notebooks. If it's cotton, you can wash and dry it apt for cotton. Same with felt and other materials we will use for the item. However, for the canvas, since they're hand painted with an acrylic paint, we advise not to expose the cover too much to liquid though the paint sticks with the canvas permanently. This is to avoid fading and other discoloration issues of the covers. For leather notebooks, simply wipe them with cotton cloth for simple stains. However, please note that for permanent stains like ink or any other related occurrence, it will leave its mark on the covers...forever. See other alternatives on how you can remove them on the web.

For both local/domestic and international orders, we pack each notebook in a bubble wrap and place it inside a drawstring bag. For the international orders, we add a box intended for an strong and secured shipping to protect the order.

We usually get inspiration from the surroundings around us and with our crazy and imaginative heads. I and my sister combine our ideas into one piece of art and each of us express this in our brush strokes in the canvas. We also wanted to make each fauxdori, Midori traveler's notebook as unique as possible, so we made sure that we didn't copy any person's work. If that happens, it's merely coincidental. Like we said, the pieces of artwork we make are based from the surroundings around our barangay.

We only make them at home. So, we didn't have any work space or a physical shop to display our items. We use the dining table as our work space and the whole living room as the production area. *winks* We need 1-2 days for the painting and drying of the paint as well as cutting, sizing the covers and another day or two for sewing. All in all, we needed 2-3 days for one item. The same thing for the Coptic Notebooks. Depending on the design we make. For our leather notebooks, I need 3-4 days of sewing time and finishing the entire cover. This is because I AM THE ONLY ONE who makes all the orders. Please bear with me. You know, I am not Naruto. I can't do Kage Bunshin no Jutsu Technique. :)

Unfortunately, we can't accommodate wholesale orders for our products. Because I can't handle huge quantities of orders. I AM THE ONLY ONE who makes all of these notebooks.

It depends. We include that in our listing description. Usually, we use at least 80 gsm white paper, 150 gsm Bristol paper, or 200 gsm Canson Watercolor paper.

Bitchy Chicken Journal accepts custom and personalized orders for both recycled fabrics and leathers and even in the hand painted canvas covers for the fauxdories, Midori traveler's notebook, specifically in the sizing and the refill notebooks you want to have either lined, grid, dotted, or blank.

For digital items, you can immediately enjoy the PDF files (in ZIP) after purchase. Wait until Etsy sends you an email containing the link of the downloadable file you ordered. If you encountered problems with it, feel free to send us a message.
