These two mini samplers feature a number of Quaker motifs from the Ackworth school samplers, made between the late 1700s and early 1800s. I have completed these with two simple alphabets, one in uppercase and one lowercase. I have named these Ackworth after the original Quaker school founded 1779, and Bootham after the Quaker school founded in 1823.
These two mini-samplers are ideal for a small travel project, something easy to take on holiday for example. Being small these can also be a quick to make present for a friend. Alternatively these could be stitched next to each other on the same linen for a bigger design, and even combined with other mini samplers from the series.
