This is an exceptional Tuareg pendant. Intricately inscribed sterling silver overlays a green agate doughnut to create a stunning ethnic pendant. This is a large statement pendant attached to a glass bead necklace accented with ethnic silver beads.
The makers mark is on the back, please note the pictures. This was hand crafted by a tribal artisan in Niger.
***Condition: This is a new item, but as I was editing the pictures I noticed that the doughnut is not positioned correctly - it is slightly off kilter. It wasn't until I started editing pictures that I even noticed it. If you are not overly picky this is still a beautiful statement pendant and when taken as a whole one really does not notice this imperfection. However; if you are super picky I would consider a different pendant. I have priced this in accordance with this flaw. Normally I would put a much higher price on a sterling silver piece of this style and quality.
length 2 3/4" width 2 1/4"
NOTE: Normally I remove the beads from Tuareg necklaces and sell them just as pendants. In this case I left the beads in place for anyone who chooses to use the pendant as is. Please take note though, this would look fabulous when added to a one of a kind designer necklace or a simple leather cord. It will turn any necklace into a statement piece. The small black glass beads and silver spacer beads can be used for another purpose.

Many of the things you will find in my shop are vintage, ethnic items. Please keep in mind that these are often made by primitive people under primitive circumstances and are rarely what we would consider to be perfect. There may be mismatched jewels, a definite patina and often there are irregularities in the metal. This is common and should be expected with this type of jewelry. I leave the patina in place for those who prefer an aged appearance. Most items can be polished with a mild jewelry cleaner if that is your preference.
