Old vintage white linen or cotton material with drawn thread pattern for doll clothes and doll whites, handkerchiefs or fine lingerie.
The length of the material is just under 36 inches and it measures 21 3/4 inches wide.
The color is more soft cream, it is not a bright white. The images were taken outside in natural daylight.
I have attached extreme close-ups of the material to aid in fabric identification. This feels like linen to me but may be cotton. The material is very lightweight and sheer with a very smooth, almost polished and crisp surface.
The selvage has a tiny pressed hem of approximately 1/8 of an inch on each side.
The drawn thread pattern follows lengthwise ( vertically) on both sides of the material approximately 4 inches in from the selvage. There is also a section of drawn thread work horizontally approximately 4 inches from each end. The pattern crosses at each of the four corners.
Fabric has not been laundered and has creases and darkening to the material along the creases from being stored folded. There are also brown spots scattered throughout.
