Item details

We originally created this design for blackwork embroidery but it could have many other art uses.

This blackwork / embroidery design is a modern interpretation and reworking of a 16th Century crewel embroidery design by Lunardo Ferro.
Shades of pinks and gold are used in the cover image but you are free to work the design in any colour you choose or traditional black and white.

In one of our images, a client has worked the design using a silk shading technique.

Finished size - Approx 14 x 25cm
Total thread - Approx 5.5m
File format - PDF
Blackwork Chart - Colour with thread key plus outline image and stitch key.
Image outline - Black and white.
Skill level - Some previous blackwork embroidery experience is required.

The Downloadable blackwork embroidery PDF comes complete with a colour chart, design outline, thread quantities and instructions and prints onto 8 pages of A4.

The PDF of the outline design with stitch key, prints on two sheet of A4. The outline design is watermarked to protect copyright.

This listing is for the chart / design only as a PDF via e.mail but if you wish us to make up a kit in your colour choice, then just let us know.

We love to see your finished projects, so join our private Facebook studio group (details in document) and share your creations.
