There is a lot of life left in these 3 partial rolls of ribbon. I can’t decide if I am more excited about it being used as vintage decor or just using the ribbon for a project. This type of thick sturdy ribbon is still available today but not at this price. The water repellent 4” wide ribbon is indestructible. It would be great for outdoor needs or creations you want to last for a long time. I was able to date this back to the late 50’s/60’s based on the information on the package and the other spools I got with it. It would be a neat addition to any vintage decor. The 2 small rolls would look cute wrapped in a thinner ribbon and tied with a bow next to the larger roll that still has the label.
The three different colors are rusty red, salmon type color on the largest cool. A lovely copper on the medium roll and light brown on the smallest roll. Each of them have a nice sheen that catches the light. I am not sure who the original maker was of this product. It was bought wholesale with the intention of using it or selling it by the yard retail in a floral shop in the suburbs of Chicago, Il. The acetate ribbon is 200 count, has a cut edge, water resistant, and was made in the USA.
The ribbon is 4 inches wide. I did not unravel and measure the 3 different rolls. As you can see from the pictures there is a generous amount of ribbon to be used. The largest roll was originally 50 yards and it only looks to be half used.
I have several more spools of vintage ribbon like this in various colors. If you are looking for something specific message me for more information
Slight color variations may occur due to not all computer monitors and phone resolutions are made equal.
