The kodak brownie reflex is a twin lens style camera produced from 1941-1952. It uses 127 film, which is available again. It's a bakelite body camera, weighing in at about 1 lb. When the viewfinder cover is closed it measures approximately 4 3/4 inches tall by 3 1/2 inches wide by 2 1/8 inches deep.
The shutter is snapping and film advance is working, *however*, the "I" instant setting and "B" setting are behaving identically, in that the shutter will stay open, until you stop depressing the button. Normally, on the instant setting, the shutter closes automatically after the shot is taken. On this camera, it doesn't. You have to let go of the shutter button to close the aperture. This should not be happening.
Cosmetically, it's in very good condition. There are scuffs on the metal top and bottom and a few areas of missing top finish on the faceplate.
The brown bakelite body is in excellent condition. There is dust on the viewfinder mirror and this also shows in the top lens.
The taking lens is clean and clear. The cord strap is in excellent condition. The strap lug screws show surface wear.
The viewfinder cover flips up, but the back flap must be pried up with a fingernail. The spring has sprung.
These cameras are popular for TtV or "through the viewfinder" photography.
