⏩ Story of this Pattern ⏪
Cassie complimented me every time I wore this cardigan. After weeks of praise, it finally sunk in that maybe I ought to make one for her as well. I did, and she wears it often - no higher compliment than that!

⏩ Details ⏪
A comfortable, loose-fitting cardigan with roomy pockets. It’s big enough for throwing on over layers in the winter, or breezy enough to enjoy in the summer months. The pattern comes with two sleeve cuff variations - a standard length cuff, and an extra-long cuff with thumb opening.

The back of the cardigan is made from a double layer of fabric, which means most of the inside seams are finished, plus there is no hem to bother with.

⏩ Difficulty⏪
Intermediate. This pattern assumes the sewer is familiar with techniques such as sewing straight and curved seams, applying fusible interfacing, making and using double-fold binding, and sewing knit fabrics with straight and stretch seams.

You should also be familiar with how to print and assemble pdf patterns, as this pattern doesn’t include any separate instructions for doing so.

⏩ Sizes ⏪
This pattern is available in European sizes 34 to 48. See the third picture above for exact measurements and sizing information.

⏩ Fabrics and Notions ⏪
This cardigan is designed for knit fabrics with a good amount of drape. Any weight fabric may be used, but keep in mind that because of the double layer at the back, a heavy-weight fabric will make a very toasty cardigan! The fabric you choose should be the same on both sides, since the wrong side of the fabric will show on the pockets (or see the Bonuses section at the end of the instructions for an alternative solution).

You will need 2 meters of 150 cm wide fabric (2¼ yards of 60” wide) or 2.6 meters of 115 cm wide fabric (3 yards of 45” wide). If your fabric has a print that you would like to match (stripes, for example), you may need more fabric. If your fabric will shrink during washing, buy extra so you don’t end up short!

You will also need some small scraps of fusible interfacing (less than 10 cm / 4 inches), and thread matching your main fabric.

⏩ Other information ⏪
This is a digital item, not a physical pattern. After purchasing you will be able to download three pdf files - the pattern instructions, and the pattern itself on A4 and letter-sized pages. You should have Adobe or a similar program on your computer in order to open these files and print them.
