Item details

Disclaimer: This product has not been tested by the general public and is currently in the product testing phase. The Shear Head Lag is specifically designed to attach sheet metal to plywood or osb wall sheathing as a design element. Using the Shear Head Lag in solid wood of any kind will possibly result in premature shearing of the hex head from the dome head.

For use in plywood or osb, drill a 1/4" pilot hole and drive the lag in using a 1/2" socket. If you would like to try the shear head lag in solid wood, I would suggest using an 17/64" or 9/32" drill bit for your pilot hole.

To see the shear head lag in action, check the video on my YouTube channel https://youtu.be/Z0nzt2TzlrE

By purchasing the shear head lag you will actually be helping me take it back into production to make the necessary modifications so it will be able to handle solid woood without premature shearing.
