Item details

A gorgeous new soft blend of 80% Shetland lambswool and 20% British ginger alpaca. The base colour is a rose gold and this colourway just adds some soft pinks with a vibrant flash.

Woollen spun and hand dyed in Yorkshire using professional acid dyes manufactured in Yorkshire. The yarn is between a fingering and a sports weight - woollen spun yarn is very plump and lofty.

100g skeins with 400 metres of fingering weight yarn. Not superwash treated.

Colourway: Rosy glow

Woollen spinning has been rather overtaken by worsted spinning and is rarely done in the UK. Woollen spun yarn has more loft and more bounce and gives a liveliness to your projects that you don't get with worsted spun yarn.

Dyed in small batches using professional acid milling dyes. The dyes are fully exhausted in the dye bath then the skeins are washed and rinsed until no colour remains in the rinsing water. However, to keep the colours looking as fresh as possible, hand wash your finished item in lukewarm water using a mild wool wash product with a slightly acid pH. Do not soak. A slight amount of colour bleed may occur in the first few washes so always wash separately.

Even when a colourway is repeated, and even when dyed in the same batch variations may occur so alternating skeins for big projects is advisable.
