Each of the 5 configurations comes in Loose and Tight styles:
• Loose: The dots are further away from each other, giving more space, but less impact • Tight: The dots are almost touching each other, giving more punch.
So a total of 10 circles are supplied, in different files formats.
In the main photo above, the Loose style is arranged inside the Tight style.
If you are designing your own product, it sometimes helps to have some simple, basic geometric shapes to build your design around.
Both the shapes and the colors can inspire the rest of the design.
The G*PKZ series (this is volume 1) of graphics resource packs exist to help you achieve your perfect design without having to learn all the crazy maths behind the designs.
So you can just take the graphic resources, import them into your graphics package and use them.
• Each color is used the same number of times within each circle, for color consistency • Clock hour angles are avoided, so the design appears more as a floating circle, than a clock face • No single color appears at all approx. 12/3/6/9 hours, so a single color does not appear to mark quarter hours • No single color appears at 180 degrees on the opposite side of the circle, to avoid appearing to 'make a line' • Each color appears an odd number of times, whereas an even number would risk each color mark out squarish shapes within the circle space • No two light or dark colors appear next to each other, to keep visual / spacial balance • The two lightest and darkest colours do appear next to each other to offset the other's effect on the balance
The overall effect should be a set of visually pleasing, floating, colourful neon circles, where no colour, angle or internal shape dominates, and the final effect does not appear 'clockish'.
So what you can do with these images ? You can just take them and use them as-is, to add colour and shapes to a design.
Or, using any (reasonable) graphics program, you will be able to modify the colours and fills, and add in any text or other designs.
From the most flexible files supplied - the Scaleable Vector File, (SVG) you will also be able to modify the shapes eg. turn the circles into ovals, or anything else.
You can lay your own graphics on top, or underneath the neon color shapes, or apply effects to the color circles, using whichever effects your graphics program supports.
All the circle designs are drawn mathematically, not by hand using a graphics editor, so their positioning will be perfect.
These graphics are supplied in both Vector (PDF/SVG - easily scaleable) and Bitmap formats (PNG, JPG) at high/print resolution - 300dpi.
For Vector, PDF and SVG versions are included, and for Bitmap, both PNG and JPEG formats are rendered at print quality (300dpi - huge images).
The PNG and JPEG images are supplied on both white and black backgrounds, but the Vector files have no background.
So they can be overlaid onto any existing background design eg. your existing photo or design.
You could even remove the colours, print them, and have empty circles for painting or filling in by hand.
