Unique single piece hand forged knife. It's shape and design are inspired by real viking age finds from scandinavia.
The blade material is high carbon silver steel. The blade is fine in size like puukko knives usually have. This also represents the steel being very expensive material during the viking age. Thus it was not wasted and used only as much as the practical use of the tool needed. Blade hardness is approx. 61 HRC which makes is a very good tool for all traditional puukko knife uses like whittling, woodwork, skinning and many other outdoors activities. It is a perfect choice for a viking age re-enactor to use as a camp gear piece which is both extremely functional, authentic and at the same time good looking too.
Handle is finnish curly birch wood with bronze fittings. The sheath is real leather with riveted brass sheet pieces, as was common in the viking age.
Dimensions of the knife are as follows: Blade length: 74mm Blade max width: 18,5mm Blade max thickness: 3,6 mm Handle length: 93mm Total length when in sheath: 198mm (not counting the bronze chain for fastening the sheath to belt)
