Knit your own little birds from this PDF knitting pattern of my original design. Knit Lovebirds, Easter Chicks or Bird Mascots. Knit a branch full in festive colors or knit enough to fill a small woodland. So many ideas from just one pattern.
I originally knitted one of these and a nest for a 3 year old boy as an Easter present. He liked to take the small bird on an adventure around the garden, then tuck it into its nest for a quick nap before setting out on another excursion. The pattern for the nest is free on my blog nattyknitter.wordpress.com
The knitting pattern PDF is available for immediate download from Etsy, following your purchase.
Hints and tips to help you with this pattern are available on my blog http://nattyknitter.wordpress.com this is mentioned in the pattern.

Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) compliance statement.
The guidance statement issued by the CPSC on Feb 10th 2009 states that “yarn, dyed or undyed” and “dyed or undyed textiles” are components which “can be used (separately or in combination) and sold (provided they have not been treated or altered or undergone any processing that could result in the addition of lead)”. It also states that until some reliable way to test the levels of phthalates in plastics it is best to avoid plastic buttons unless “you know they don't contain phthalates”. As I know nothing about petrochemical processes I have therefore decided to abstain from the use of plastic buttons in my products until further information is available. For the full statement, please see http://www.cpsc.gov/about/cpsia/smbus/sbguide.pdf . Thank you.
