Please note that the sock and blanket are samples of how the yarn looks kitted up in a fabric and not part of the offer. The pattern is a simple 2 X 2 rib cuff. The blanket is the Mitered Square blanket, pattern free on Ravelry.
Pictures above show exactly what you will receive. Thirty (30) mini-hanks, in 30 different sock yarn colors in solids or tonal color. Each mini-hank is twenty-five (25) yards long. Some are a bit longer, but none will be shorter. You will be receiving my Lot 381 and it will be exactly the hanks shown above.
I will be mailing them out to you via standard mail, in a poly white envelope. It is tear resistant and water resistant. The yarn will also be in a plastic bag for further protection. They will be mailed out the weekday following your payment, with some rare exception. If there is a one-day delay, I will message you to let you know.
I have checked and rechecked the length of the skeins, but, as it is always possible to make an error, I am including two extra skeins that are 12 - 24 yards long to make absolutely certain that you are getting the yardage paid for. Your bonus hanks include one that is a Wildfoote Sock Yarn and one color of Fortissima yarns, shown in the last photo above.
These little skeins are great for a lot of different projects. The sock is just one The mitered square blanket on Ravelry is another idea. The pattern is available on Ravelry. It takes about 12 yards for a small mitered square, so one of these mini-hanks will make two of the squares.
These yarns are great for brioche patterns as well, or any project that lots of different colors are needed.
All of these are sock yarns and because they are all 75% wool, 25% nylon, the gauges are very nearly identical. They are from different companies, however, so there may be a slight difference in the knitted fabric. This works out completely after blocking, in my experience.
The below list shows the different yarns used in the lot:
Opal: 2 colors Trekking Sock: 11 colors Fortissima colors: 2 colors Brown Sheep Wildfoote: 10 colors Regia: 1 color My hand dyed: 2 colors Zauberball Crazy: 2 Colors
The two extras are Austermann and Trekking
This particular selection is very sturdy. They are approved for wash in warm water. Machine drying is not recommended.
Never put fabric softener with superwash wool, however. Superwash wool has been treated in order to prevent felting. Fabric softener can interfere with the treatment and may cause the knitted fabric to felt in subsequent washing.
Thank you so much for checking out this auction. Knit on, with happiness and joy.
