Item details

Keep unruly yarn clean and tidy in this hand-thrown stoneware yarn bowl.

Thrown on my potter's wheel using buff stoneware clay. The swirl and needle holes detail are delicately cut by hand. After a few days of drying out the bowl is fired to 1060 degrees centigrade. When cooled it is then dip glazed in a glossy chalky white glaze. They were then fired for a second time in my electric kiln. My potter's mark is on the base. Each bowl is unique.
Plenty big enough to hold a 100 gram ball of sock yarn.

Dimensions (approx)
Height: 6 - 7cm, 2 1/2cm
Width: 13 - 14.5 cm, 5 1/4 inches

Made with lead free glazes.
Hand wash if required.

FAQs

Hand Wash verses Dishwasher Hand washing is always kinder to hand made ceramics as the chemicals in dishwashers can be very harsh. My pottery is high fired meaning that it will most likely be fine in the dishwasher (I put my pottery in the dishwasher at home) however as I am a small maker I can not test my pottery in a range of dishwashers so I advise to hand wash if at all possible or alternate between the dishwasher and hand washing. Microwaves My pottery is high fired so will most probably be fine in the microwave however I am not able to test a range of microwaves so just to be on the safe side I advise to avoid using them in the microwave. Oven Use Alway heat food in ceramics from a cold oven.

I happily offer a gift wrap service. Please add the 'Gift Wrap' listing to your basket and checkout at the same time as your purchase. Please add any message you would like in the card in the buyers notes section.

I have spent a lot of time testing packaging to ensure your pottery gets to you in pristine condition. I carefully package every piece myself before it is shipped. I use bubble wrap, tissue paper and biodegradable packaging peanuts. I normal double box items where possible...if the unlikely event a breakages does happen I will replace your item at my own cost as soon as possible.

Ceramics are heavy items and need to be packed carefully to keep them safe in transit. I try very hard to keep shipping prices to a minimum. I will only charge what it costs me to ship items plus a small amount for the packaging- I do not make any profit on postage.
