This is Falkland wool, a mix primarily from Corriedale sheep, and the fiber diameter is 27 micron (56s on Bradford grading scale) which makes it next to the skin soft yet strong enough for outerwear. The staple length is 3-5 inches. This wool can be spun into thick or thin yarns, felted into scarves, dryer balls, sculpted animals, whatever your creativity can imagine! This is high quality combed top, not carded roving, which means the fibers are smooth and organized in the same direction. An absolute dream to spin because it drafts so easily!
