12 tiny vintage Czech Ruby colored buttons, still hand-sewn on their original card. The crystals are set in a plastic bezel/shank combination.
Czechoslovakia was an important producer of quality rhinestones for buttons and jewelry in the early part of the 20th century (1919-1939).
I’ve shown the buttons with a floral pin, to give you an idea of the scale of these tiny beauties.
These buttons have a thread sew-through shank on the bottom. It is flat against the button. I have attempted to show it in the last photo.
The condition of the buttons are like new, unused. The card is intact, but has some cracking. The hand-stitches holding the buttons on the card are also intact.
Number of buttons on the card: 12
Button size: approximately 1/4 of an inch (6.35 mm)
Card measurement: 2 13/16 of an inch
Age of buttons: Most likely between 1918-1939
