Flint five - lampwork glass beads handmade by Rebecca Weddell
A unique set of five unique smooth 'pebble' beads wound from black glass, decorated with subtle organic swathes of pale cream, and tumbled for a soft, smooth finish with a gorgeous soft sheen. Smooth to the touch, the set of five is strung in graduated sizes, with the widest bead in the centre.
Not all glass is shiny! These are smooooooth and sleek to the touch, like beach treasures, pocketstones, can't-leave-behind trophies from a salty walk on a breezy day.
The holes in this beads are a little larger than 2.5mm. The smallest bead measures 13.5mm at the widest part, and 13mm from hole to hole. The largest bead measures 13.5mm at the widest part, and 15.5mm from hole to hole. Measurements are approximate. The beads have been kiln-annealed for lasting strength.
Each bead is unique, having been made one by one at the torch flame in my hot-glass workshop in rural East Sussex. To find out more about the captivating craft of lampwork glass beadmaking, visit www.letfireinspire.co.uk
