From a shearling (first shearing) Wenslyadale lamb, these locks are longer than my other listings because they are from a slightly older animal, but still retaining softness. Some of them are reaching 15". I have tried to group together a variety of lengths ranging from 8-15" in each bunch. I have not 'flattened out' the locks to get more length from them, but if you did that they would be much longer.
Initially this fibre was treated by me with alum as a mordant, then dyed in an ivy leaf dye bath before dip dyeing the ends in a fern leaf dye bath. All dye plants in this fibre were collected locally by myself within yards of my own home so this is very ECO FRIENDLY!!
Very subtle pale green, with bronze tips. Hard to pick up the green in my photography on this dull morning, but hopefully it shows up better on one of the pics. Monitors will vary. Hand separated and selected.
20g packs, come in clear cellophane envelopes.

Wash your finished project carefully by hand, dry flat.
Lovely and long ...you can easily see the time, love & care invested in them - just wonderful!!!! Beautiful colour gradient ranging from a very pale yellowy-green through to gorgeous deep tones of mustard and bronze. Absolutely exquisite plant magic and from a wonderful seller too. Arrived safe & sound to Australia, thank you incredibly Sarah.
