A large piece of dried manzanita branch that would look great as a center piece for a rustic wedding. This piece is beautiful and interesting from all angles! Would be great for a bird or reptile habitat or a unique one of a kind piece for your home.
Measures Thickness of branch 3”-6” Length - 25” Height 7.5-11.5 Width at its widest point - 9.5”
It is also the perfect wood for an aquarium, it looks beautiful, provides habitat, resists decay, and is not chemically toxic. The ability to sink without being weighted is another characteristic of Manzanita. It is an exotic hardwood being one of the densest woods in the world that can last for decades even under water.
It is highly recommended that you first soak or boil any new piece of driftwood before putting it in your aquarium.
I clean my wood by hand washing it in plain water using a wire brush and then hand sanding. I prefer this over the alternative method of sandblasting as it doesn’t strip the wood as much. I never treat the wood with any type of product so all my pieces are always 100% natural.
All my Manzanita comes from the mountains of Southern California. I am fortunate to have it growing in abundance where I live. I only pick up dead pieces and ones that are in my opinion special due to having a unique quality.
