Gorgeous, antique, interior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Ohio. It has a solid Douglas Fir core covered with 1/16" Cherry veneers.
* Please don't think that "veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture, these veneers are 1/16" thick and provide strength and stability to the door.
Restoration: At the point of salvage the door was pretty beat up (see last photos). However, a client asked us to repair and sand it to be repainted. She also wanted us to size it to fit her opening. We did all of the wood work, and our friends at, "Kasmark & Marshall," in Luzerne, PA took care of the glass and lead-work.
After all of the work that we put into it, she completely abandoned her commitment and now her loss is your opportunity! The door is as close to, "New," as could be.
Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. We plugged all hardware holes with solid wood, and now you could install your hardware wherever you like. If you need hardware, we have a good selection of hardware to outfit either of the doors (check out our eBay store)
Paint: We could paint the door for you. Let us know what brand and color of paint(s) you would like us to use, and we'll give you a quote.
Modification: Do you need the door to be taller/shorter or wider/narrower? Do you need a frame? Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
