This hand spun artyarn is called 'Gummy Worms', and is spun intentionally thick-thin, and is a partially supercoiled yarn, which is spun onto a commercially spun woolen 'core'. Quite strong, very bright and amazingly soft.
One of my pictures show this yarn knitted up into a hat. For that hat I knitted it on 7mm needles, but this yarn is probably happier knitted on 8-10mm needles as it's quite bulky at 5 wpi.
Average and approx. yardage for 120gram skein is 60 yards
For a large sized hat like the one featured on my blog where the ribbing is done in a commercially spun yarn, you would need approx. 120grams of Gummy worms for the main body of the hat, for a medium size, 100 grams, and for a baby hat, something under 100 grams, possibly 85grams, depending on the size. 65g might knit a head band or ear warmer, but all of course will depend on your individual pattern. This is just to give an idea of what you might be able to do with this yarn.

Please note I have another listing in my shop for 'Gummy Worms' on a bobbin, which is a different dye-lot to this yarn.

Great yarn for adding texture and colour to needlefelting.
