This duck is cute made up in a soft fur fabric, although any sturdy material may be used, such as denim or corduroy. The beak and feet look best in vinyl, but felt is easier to sew. Safety eyes should be used if this is for a small child. You may embroider or applique eyes if you choose. If washable fake fur, vinyl and polyester fiberfil stuffing are used, the whole toy may be put through the washer and dryer to clean.
Aardvark to Zebra 's vintage (1980's) stuffed animal patterns are more realistic than cutsy. All pattern pieces were hand-drawn and labeled, with complete instructions, illustrated with hand-drawn construction diagrams. Pattern pieces are full size, printed on one side of !!"x 17" paper, ready to be cut out. Arrows, notches, dots and seam-lines are clearly printed, all referenced in the instructions, so making these animals is easy. There are no construction photos, but a color photo of the finished animal(s) is on the cover, as well as a line- drawing showing seam lines. Many of the patterns have variations, some with more than one animal or the same animal in different sizes. They are a real joy to make and own.
