This is either an oil Hog hair singer and scraper or a Horse Curry Comb. I could not find anything like this anywhere. It was explained to me by a primitive farm tool dealer that you would fill scraper with oil and it soaks into cotton on the inside, and there is a gap in the front of the tool above the teeth that you light and it will burn without a wick because of the vapors escaping from the front. Really RARE and UNIQUE piece. Definitely has some wear and surface rust. Made of Steel, Magnet Does stick to it. Was told its from circa 1860 or so. The cap has a logo with initials that I could not find anywhere. Estate sale find, please see all pictures, and message us with any questions.
