Beautiful 1940s romantic cotton panel Vintage French ticking in pink stripes with trailing ribbons, blue butterflies and bouquets of gallic roses Pretty romantic fabric -traditionally used to frame a door or window.
The fabric is called 'Petit Trianon' which refers to an elegant villa or small palace in the great park at Versailles in France. Either the one built by Louis XIV in 1687; or the smaller, built by Louis XV 1762-8, was used first by his mistress Madame du Barry (1743–93) and afterwards by Marie Antoinette.
Fabric also perfect for pillow slips, cushion covers, lampshades, dolls clothes,curtains and all manner of sewing and upholstery projects
CONDITION: not perfect: material carries a couple of minor marks but nothing to really detract.
