Yardage of white Rose of Sharon Irish Double Damask Linen. Irish linen damask was some of the finest in the world at the time and remains so still today.
The width of the fabric is 22 inches with finished edges by 3 yards + 28 inches (136"). It was meant to be cut into square 22 inch pieces (perhaps to be cut into napkins), as the full pattern is repeated segments of that size. This means there are 6 full segments.
Stamped on border with "All Linen Made in Ireland" Has majority of the original label stickers, which read: "Rose of Sharon Linens Pure Linen Made in Ireland" and "Tourist Gordon Mackay"
Very minimal signs of aging- a few small yellowed spots (see pics).
THE FINE PRINT: In heirloom quality, these linens have many more decades of life in them. I have neither laundered nor spotcleaned any piece, so it is very likely any aging can be easily lightened with OxiClean and boiling water.
Item is sold AS IS and has been stored in a sealed, airtight plastic casing, however it is a vintage item, and as such is not without flaw. Please ask any questions before purchasing, as ALL SALES ARE FINAL (exceptions can be found in the shop profile).
