Item details

These stones are recycled gems but in good condition (I've just bought 30 carats for myself and have 70 carats left from a gem dealer in Londons prestigious Hatton garden on approval) all the stones are inspected by me (I'm a professional jeweller) before delivery. These stones are offered to hobbyists or other jewellers in carats of mixed cuts (square, round, pear, marquis, baguette) but if you need specific cuts I will try and help.

If you want easy to use settings or any type of findings (jewellery stuff) I'll be happy to help.

If you just want them set in jewellery feel free to contact me to see how I can help!

They are part of a job lot from a business that closed and really offer incredible value for money in terms of quality, a carat gets you about 3-4 precious stones or more semi precious (see picture of stones in black tray)

As they are recycled they may have slight scratches on the facets from the removal process, I have personally set the same stones and this in no way affects the beauty of the stones in jewellery or light refraction. Please have a look at the picture of the rubies set in earrings to judge for yourself! (if you need easy fit settings or any sterling silver setting supplies I'll be happy to help)

The sapphires

The sapphires are all of a good quality for the size, they do have inclusions of a small size (as is consistent with genuine corundum family stone) but the clarity is good and the colour is pretty consistent through each stone.

The rubies

The rubies are of a good general quality like the sapphires (and are the same family of stones) the same quality level applies, they do vary from light pink to dark red.

The emeralds

The emeralds are generally of a starter grade with low clarity and quite a few inclusions - they are a great stone to practice on and at the price represent a bargain if you want some emeralds for your jewellery

The semi precious

The coloured semi precious stones are a mixture of amythest and different colours of treated topaz (in my opinion), they are of a really good quality and have amazing clarity (and no flaws or inclusions) - these are great for hobbyists or jewellers who want a splash of colour for a good price.
