Custom hand-forged, knife with zebrawood scales, mosaic pins, and a fitted leather sheath. Blade length: 3-7/8" (as measured from the front of the handles to the tip of the blade); total length: overall 8-1/8". Made in Kentucky, USA.
The Blade: • Hand-forged from 1080 steel • Tempered at 440º F • Acid-washed, forced patina • Approximately 3/16" wide at handle • May require further sharpening • This steel type rusts fairly easily, so it must be cared for (oiled, cleaned, etc.)
The Handle: • Zebrawood scales • Brass and steel mosaic pins
The Sheath: • Dyed vegetable leather • Hand stitched • Sewn-on belt loop • Custom fitted for this knife
Disclaimers: • Really only one: This is a unique, hand-made item. Thus, the blade may have hammer and other marks, the sheath stitches aren't machine-perfect, the handle may have a few scratches And et cetera. Be sure to look at the photos. Don't expect a factory-machined product. Do expect a quality, tough, one-of-a-kind knife.
Most knives are shipped USPS, flat rate, priority, which means your knife will usually arrive two or three after shipping. Items are normally shipped within three business days, often the next business day.

For the Old Knives:
Condition of the Knives Unless noted specifically otherwise in the individual knife's description, the following common conditions apply: • The knife is used. • The knife has been previously sharpened. •Because of the two conditions above, the knife will have some scratches. • The knife has been cleaned and lightly oiled. • The knife blades are free of rust and dirt, but some will have signs of pitting (those dark spots on the blades you can see in the photos). • The knife has no issues that should affect usability, unless noted in the description.
Dating the Knives This can be a tricky proposition. Each knife presented has been researched and dated as accurately as possible through a variety of means, including tang stamps, style/construction, advertising and comparison with known samples. It's part of the fun. Sometimes a manufacture date is easy to establish--more often than not, a reasonably small range of years can be confidently defined. But there are individual knives which can't be placed into a set range, especially if the knife was part of a long-time production line which changed very little over the years. I won't guarantee mistakes haven't been made; however, I have stated the dates as accurately as I could determine.
