AG Mason made Florence Improved Vibrating Shuttle treadle sewing machine. Made somewhere between 1885-1900 or so. AG Mason bought the rights to the Florence name and patents when the Florence Sewing Machine Company went out of business. This is not a Florence Sewing machine made in Florence, MA but it is a sort of descendant of their later models.
Comes with the shuttle, one bobbin, the rusty but intact needle that was in it, a new leather replacement belt and a reproduction manual purchased online. Legs have casters.
Really nice condition. Metal parts are shiny and super nice. No pits. Head decals are partly silvered/discolored. Cabinet decals very nice. Wood and hardware (note the beautiful drawer pulls!) still very nice overall. Some water stains on side of cabinet. One drawer missing the bottom and there is a small missing piece of veneer on the back.
Has been completely cleaned. Not tested or tried as belt is not attached. Wheel and needle bar move freely.
