Item details

Note: This listing is for a knitting pattern. Finished bag not included.

*Reviewed in Interweave's newest knitting emagazine "EntreKnits"- "This seamless modular project is an interpretation of colorful stained glass and a fun exercise in color theory. WHAT WE LIKE: The base of the bag looks like a rose window."

Each bag is beautiful and unique! This bag is worked from the top down in rounds. There are 6 fans knit individually in each round. The fans are outlined in black which gives the bag a stained glass look. The samples were knit using Noro "Kureyon", but the bag can be knit with any brand wool that felts.
This pattern looks complicated but it's not. Once you get the hang of it you will not want to put your knitting down.
Included in the pattern are directions for 2 versions.
Version 1: After felting is 13 1/2" tall, 14" across and has a 9" bottom. This version was made so that none of the fans are the same color and the fans have 2 colors.
Version 2: After felting is 11" tall, 14" across and has a 9" round bottom. The fans have one color and are also outlined in black.
The bag can be felted to a smaller size with good results!
