This hand spun art yarn was made using mohair hand dyed locks in shades that have a rustic (berry) appeal to it. This is a bulky mohair yarn that would be fun to knit, crochet, use as embellishment or even woven into a tapestry -- so many crafty ways to use it. The yarn is very soft to the touch, from a yearling goat. The mohair comes from a small farm in the USA, I feel it is important to support small farmers who work so hard to keep these beautiful animals. I sorted and washed the fleece twice, then hand painted it before spinning. The yarn can contain bits of vegetable matter due to keeping the locks intact as much as possible, so please keep this in mind if ordering. The animals live out on pasture and in barns and bits get caught in tight locks.
The bulky hand spun art yarn is: 6.4 ounces 48 yards
I also have a pink on black mohair art yarn, the link is here if you would like to look at it
