Hukka H-110 Survival knife is the newest addition to my cutlery repertoire. It is a true multi purpose tool which can always be relied upon in the toughest of situations. The knife is integral in its construction, this provides the best durability one can hope for as the handle is technically impossible to destroy without an angle grinder or similar tools.
The material of the knife is high carbon 80CrV2 steel which is the steel grade I'm most familiar with and know how to get most out of it in terms of hardness and strength.
The blade is differentially hardened and as a proof of this the hamon quench line is visible in the polished blade edge. This heat treatment technique ensures that the blade part is also impossible to break without those power tools. Each hamon is a bit different making every single one of these knives a unique piece. The edge is heat treated to have hardness of approx 61 HRC.
Original idea for this blade was born when I decided to try to combine two favourite things I know; knives and beer. The wolf head which is made after my company's logo has it's jaws in such an angle that it opens bottles. This ability makes the knife a very nice item for those who like to open their drinks with style.
On both sides of the knife's integral handle part are slabs of real reindeer horn. These slabs make the knife a lot more comfortable to use. They are attached with steel pins into the handle.
Hukka knife comes supplied with tight fitting black leather sheath. The sheath has a belt loop for carrying the knife. The blade part of the sheath has rigid last inside it so that the very sharp knife can not come through the sheath.
Dimensions of the knife: Blade length: 110mm (approx. 4,33 inches) Handle grip part length: 105mm (approx. 4,13 inches) Total length: 256mm (approx. 10 inches) Blade part max width: 29mm (approx. 1,14 inches) Blade thickness: 4mm (approx. 0,16 inches)
The knife is shipped as a fast express maxi letter with tracking code included.
