This set includes three PDF pattern downloads in my Twelve Days Ornament Series:
10 - Piper Piping
11 - Lady Dancing
12 - Lord a-Leaping

I’ve always loved the traditional Twelve Days of Christmas song, so I designed this series of hand sewn folk ornaments for each of the twelve days, based on the original carol from 1780. The order is a bit different and day four is colly bird, an old English term for blackbird. (Calling bird was substituted in later.)

See the individual listings for details and material lists. For more information on this ornament series as well as links to construction tips, Benzie Design's coordinating felt/floss kits and also to Felt On The Fly's kits, please visit this page on my blog:

If you can do precision cutting, basic hand stitches (running stitch, whipstitch, backstitch and French knot) and are familiar with sewing and embroidery terms, then you can make this project and make it well!
This pattern utilizes a Sulky brand water-soluble stabilizer which makes putting the ornament together easy, fast and accurate. The design prints or copies directly on the stabilizer, which is then adhered to the felt, and you embroider right on top of it!
Fantastic! (If you can't use the Sulky stabilizer, I've also included tips for that.)

Each digital PDF pattern includes:

- Neat, professionally drawn, actual-sized pattern pieces that do not overlap
- Step-by-step instructions with clear professionally drawn diagrams and photos
- Resources section with stitching diagrams, tips and supply links

These patterns are in PDF format on 8.5 x 11 inch paper, so you can print them from your regular printer at home on standard paper and printable stabilizer, as many times as you need for personal use.

This pattern PDF bundle will be available for INSTANT DOWNLOAD once your payment is completed!

NOTE: These decorations have small parts and may present a choking hazard. These are not decorations designed for children under the age of three.

Sorry, I can't make any custom orders. I just don't have the time. If you invent a way to add more hours to the day, please let me know. :-)

I ordered all 12 ornament patterns. I have made the entire set. These patterns are very well done. It is obvious the patterns were created by someone who crafts and who takes pride in their work. The instructions were very clear and well written. I worked on all twelve ornaments at the same time. I printed all twelve patterns, cut the pieces for all twelve, embroidered all the pieces for all twelve, then started assembling them. I worked in the evenings for an hour or two each night - and I finished in about 1 month. The finished pieces look great, front and back. Which is a testament to the excellent design of the patterns and instructions. I enjoyed doing these so much, I am doing a second set because I had leftover material.

Additional policies

If you are a home sewer and have a cottage industry personally making things with your own little hands and selling them to your friends, in a craft booth or personal online shop (read: no mass production), you can purchase my patterns for that purpose, with my blessing.

Go forth and make it a success! Make as many as you are personally capable of. Sew for your friends. Sew for your shop. Sew for craft fairs and bazaars. Sew up a storm! Of course there are terms. But not that many:

- A reminder that the copyright on my patterns still stands: That is, you may not copy, resell, share, distribute or publish (online or otherwise) any portion of any of my patterns without prior permission from me. Period. Basically anything that involves sharing any part of my patterns with anyone else is a no-no.

- Each sewer must purchase a pattern for themselves. If you have a friend who is interested in partnering up with you, or you are hosting a craft party, please refer each of them to my blog or shop to purchase their own pattern. Thank you! (Exceptions may be made in the case of charitable sewing, just be sure to check with me first!)

-Production is limited. To honor the 'no mass production' spirit, please limit your listings (or display in your booth) no more than twenty MmmCrafts items at a time. This means a total of twenty of any pattern combination, for instance:
8 Mikey Monkeys + 12 Christmas Ornaments = limit of 20.
If you are selling something as a set under one listing (like ornaments) that would count as one item.

- Include credit where it's due. Please list a credit for the pattern on each listing or on each hang tag for the item: Pattern by Larissa Holland, or something like that.

- Minor derivatives are ok, but even if you make changes in the way a pattern is made, please still give a credit to me for the pattern, along with a note that it is a variation.

- PLEASE NOTE that it is really really really NOT OK to use any of my photos, images, logos, badges, or graphics to promote your site or booth on signs, flyers, tags, headers, etc... Don't do it! Those images are copyrighted.

Judging from the number of requests I get, there are a lot of readers out there who don't have the time or inclination to sew for themselves and they would appreciate knowing where to find your MmmCrafts handmade items. Let's get you two together! Send me a link to your shop so I can place it on the Mmmakers page on my blog so folks will know where to find you and buy your MmmCrafts stuff.
