Includes standard American knitting instructions (written; not charted).
The Big Braid Shawl is a bulky weight, top-down design in which you begin with an “extended” garter tab cast on method, followed by a traditional triangle formed with yarn over (YO) increases. Once you find your “flow”, you’ll be able to knit this large, squishy shawl with ease and without much reference to pattern (if desired). This pattern assumes the user is familiar with (or ready to explore) top-down shawl methods and the garter-tab cast-on method. This pattern also assumes that the user is familiar with standard knitting techniques as noted in the abbreviations section.
Basic materials required include: US11/8mm LONG circular needles/50” or 60” recommended 540 yards bulky yarn 2 st markers
