Using four different colours of Rooster Almerino (or any other Aran yarn), these are:
**four distinct patterns included in the download**
for fair-isle hats. Rooster Almerino is 50% Baby Alpaca and 50% merino wool, which makes these hats both beautifully soft and very warm.
Each hat is unique, and features a different fair-isle pattern and distinct design.
The Custard coloured hat is the smallest (by which I mean closest-fitting to the top of the head), the Smoothie and Sugared Almond a little larger (longer), and the Lilac Sky has the tallest dome.
They can be worn pushed back and long, or pulled down and rolled up.
You will need 100g of each colour to knit all four hats and will have enough to make a fifth at the end of it; 4mm and 5mm circular needles (I used the magic loop method); and a tapestry needle to sew in the ends.
To make one hat, you will need around 25g of each colour.
Colours used for the hats pictured are: Custard (yellow), Smoothie (a kind of raspberry pink), Sugared Almond (pale blue) and Lilac Sky (lilac)
Easy to follow charts. My first attempt at fair isle pattern, and I love it! Thank you 😊

Love this pattern and all of the detail included. I did have to adjust the number of stitches on one pattern, in order to make the K2, P2 rib work out evenly, but no big deal.
