Pattern for our 12" X 12" "Labyrinth" square mandala/quilt block stained glass panel. The pattern comes as a black and white line drawing. This mandala pattern shown in Jeannes "Mandalas For Meditation" book makes a great stained glass panel and the colors can vary for any decor. This is a sandblasted/etched piece on one piece of glass. The one pictured is 14" square. There is an illustrated article on how to sandblast this piece that can be found at https://www.gsg-art.com/how-to-sandblast-stained-glass.html
You can find her book on our website https://www.gsg-art.com/stained-glass-mandalas-for-meditation.html
This is a pattern only. You can download it and print it at your leisure. No additional materials will be shipped. Images of completed panels are for color ideas for your inspiration. The pattern is copyrighted and is for your personal use and may not be sold or distributed in any way.
There is an instruction video on YouTube on how to put a pattern together.at https://youtu.be/H4y89rn8Hmo. Following the path of a labyrinth is a journey of being lost so you can be found. The twists and turns lead to the center or back to the entrance. In many cultures, to walk a labyrinth is a peaceful way to find answers to questions, to relax, to reconnect to our thoughts. There are even finger labyrinths to follow in times of stress. It’s just a little break. Doesn’t it feel good to go outside and take a walk? It’s great to listen to the birds and feel the earth under your feet. That is the idea behind following the path of a labyrinth.
There is a difference between a labyrinth and a maze. A maze is built to purposely trick a person into getting lost to protect something at the center or other end. It is also used as a game. A labyrinth is for meditation and peaceful contemplation.
The pattern can be modified, colors can be substituted and textured clear glass can be used to enhance the look of the completed panel. There are 5 pages to the pattern, the first is a template of how the rest go together. Download the pdf and print the pages. Once it's assembled, make a copy and a poster board pattern to use as an assembly pattern.
