Nice corners, traditional chamfered edges. They are fairly well pre-cleaned but you should wipe them additionally to be sure they are free of dusts as you would any surface before using for an art surface.

Slate is a bit heavy and needs very good care in cushioning so that is reflective in the shipping cost. I ship most slates by priority mail.
***Unless your item listing says READY TO SHIP, your expected ship time for mailboxes is 3-6weeks, slates 2-3 weeks, candles 1-2 weeks unless I have your colors in stock. During peak spring season March through July expect the full wait time. Shipping is charged by flat rate, slates and candles will ship by priority mail and some mailboxes and other items also. If you need to request and item through expedited shipping, convo me before your purchase and I will create a private listing for Express mail: for candles it may be an additional $10; slates and maiboxes between $20-25 additional. I unfortunately cannot answer all questions about when an item will ship, as I do not know from day to day and paint in the order in which I receive them, please do not communicate unless you have not received a shipping notice within the longest time I have outlined, I do my very best to be timely but do have a family and there is only one me when life gets complicated, I have no factory of workers to step in, so I do need your patience. If you need something by a certain date and are unsure, you had best order elsewhere or give your recipient a photo with a card letting them know what they will be receiving. I prefer PayPal and credit cards through Etsy, but will also accept personal checks. I do not take orders by phone, they must be processed on Etsy even if you choose to send a check. This is so you will be sure to receive exactly what you are expecting with no errors.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
Custom or personalized orders
Perishable products (like food or flowers)
Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Additional return information
I will refund if you are unhappy if you notify me within a week of the shipping date and we arrange return shipping. I strive to please, so there are very few returns, but please, as I said, notify me immediately. Unless there is damage or flaws I did not notice, there is no refund for personalized or custom orders. I am more likely to send a replacement rather than a refund, and work closely with my customers until they are made content! You will need to cover shipping cost for returns of wrong size ordered or if the item arrives back to me damaged from insufficient packaging. It must be packaged the same way it was received with cushioning above AND below and on the sides if I sent it that way, so that the item will not be jostled. For some strange reason boxes from customers almost always arrive damaged, maybe by your postman, so the cushioning is crucial. Thank you. I am happy to say there are VERY FEW returns ever necessary.
