I loved him very much more than I could trust myself to say more than words had power to express. Charlotte Bronte, Jane Eyre
This classic work is the story of Jane Eyre, an orphan who is being raised by an horrid Aunt, Mrs. Reed, and then sent to Lowood School, where Jane spends six years as a student and the last two as a teacher. Sadness and loneliness follow her; if you could paint a picture of this story I would think it would be all browns, blacks, dark blues, and gray. Add red when the first Mrs Rochester sets things aflame but that comes all in due time . . . after Jane has become governess at Thornfield Hall where she and Mr. Rochester become close in heart and soul. The words jump from the pages into the reader’s heart. Stitch Count: 110 X 140 Fabric: 28ct Cream Linen Finished Size: 7.8" by 10" Threads: DMC cotton floss
